About Us
We're Big Run Wolf Ranch, and we've been a non-profit wildlife rescue here in Lockport, IL, since 1986. We believe in conservation through education, offering on and off-site presentations, school field trip opportunities, and an open house to the public once a month. We started this business because we've had a long-time love of animals. We're looking forward to growing our business to continue to serve Lockport and the surrounding communities. We'd like to personally invite you to call us today to book your special event, field trip or come in on one of our open house events and meet our beautiful rescued animals. Big Run depends upon public donations to continue its work. You can help! Donating through our secure server is fast and easy, and when we receive your donation, we will send you an acknowledgment in the mail for tax purposes. We are open by Appointment Only and Open to the Public Once a Month! Please give us a call with any questions!

Rainah at Big Run Wolf Ranch did an amazing presentation for my disabled son and his friends today. She is so upbeat and positive and we all learned a lot about her animals. We even got to Pet Lloyd the skunk. Truly a lifetime experience :-). I would recommend highly a visit to their facility in Lockport anytime you can make it. It's very inexpensive and so educational and entertaining.

this is a wonderful animal sanctuary and educational experience. they have numerous animals that were saved when options were few. all the stories are told by your educational guide. while their main focus is on several species of wolves those arent the only animals who call these beautiful acres home. a lovely walk-about anytime they are open to the public. highly recommend!!!
